Other Events \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>There are other events in the stadium while we are setting up and preparing for our show. Please stay in our dance area. Do not wander around or interfere other vendors or events.<\/p>\nAnyone not helping with set up at 5:00 will need to wait to enter at 5:15 pm or 5:30 depending on their class (see below). \u00a0Bring all of your costumes, water, lipstick, etc with you as you cannot leave and re-enter once inside the stadium. Water is allowed in a SEALED bottle. We recommend a sealed bottle of Smart Water. You can also bring an empty bottle and put water in it after entry.<\/p>\n
STAGGERED ARRIVAL TIMES \u2013 ENTER THROUGH THE GATE TO THE LEFT OF THE MAIN ENTRANCE. You will see the stage on the left as you approach the stadium.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n5:00 pm<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Set sound system and dressing area\/tent.\u00a0 They have a new stage, so we do not have to set the floor!!\u00a0VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR THIS; please email us if you will help.<\/strong>\u00a0 We need at least 6-8 people to help set & tear down the canopy and sound system and tape rough spots on the stage.<\/p>\nCheck in at our Attendance Table as you enter to be sure we know you arrived and are ready for the show.<\/p>\n
5:15<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 ALL DANCERS AGE 9 AND UP, dancers with costume changes, and CLOGGERS ready to enter.<\/p>\n5:20<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 CLOGGERS reset routines. Change shoes AFTER reset.\u00a0 Dancers age 9 & up warming up.<\/p>\n5:30<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 HIP HOP MINIS, MINI-COMBO, TODDLERS and TWINKLE STARS ready to enter.<\/p>\n5:45<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 TEAM PHOTO \u2013 Everyone ready to dance<\/p>\n5:50\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 Show Briefing for dancers and parents.\u00a0 We need 1-2 people to run music and 2 people to give dancers a hand when using the stairs to the stage; the stairs are narrow and there is no handrail.<\/p>\n6:05<\/strong>\u00a0pm \u2013 Gates open.\u00a0Show Time!<\/strong>\u00a0 Actual duration depends on number of routines.<\/p>\n6:55<\/strong>\u00a0ish \u2013 Tear down sound system, check-in table, banner & changing canopy.\u00a0 Be sure to put things away carefully so they are ready for the next show. Please help with this.\u00a0 The adult cloggers & Miss Wendy VERY MUCH APPRECIATE help with this.<\/p>\n7:00<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 National Anthem \u2013 Everyone please stop whatever you are doing and stand for the National Anthem.<\/p>\n7:05<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Game time!\u00a0 \u00a0Please wear your recital t-shirt, blue studio t-shirt or clogging shirt for the game. People love to recognize you after the show.\u00a0 You can also run across the field during the 7th inning stretch and of course dance to everything!\u00a0 Our seating is in General Admission along the 3rd base line.<\/p>\nBring ALL costumes. Wear tights, leotard or biketard, black leggings\/shorts\/pants, blue studio t-shirts or clogging shirts if you have them to\/from venue. Wear your recital costume for the show and studio t-shirts for the game.<\/p>\n
DANCERS \u2013 hair in neat bun if you dance ballet.\u00a0 Non- ballet dancers wear hair the same as cloggers.
\nCLOGGERS \u2013 hair side-parted low ponytail; secured away from the face with a BLACK hair band. No fly aways<\/p>\n
Makeup for all \u2013 Light makeup, berry lipstick (not chapstick). Remember water, sunscreen, cooling scarf if it\u2019s hot and blankets to sit on in the backstage area.<\/p>\n
PARENTS \u2013 Be sure your dancer eats a healthy meal and has plenty of water;\u00a0SMART WATER in a SEALED bottle is recommended as it has electrolytes.<\/strong><\/p>\nDANCERS \u2013 REMAIN IN THE STAGING AREA. Do not run around the audience during the show unless you are handing out fliers. Be \u2018backstage\u2019 and ready for bows at the end.<\/p>\n
POST -SHOW \u2013 ALL HANDS ON DECK to help tear down the sound system, check-in table, banner and dressing areas and check for water bottles, garbage, etc.\u00a0 We really appreciate EVERYONE\u2019S help!!\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\nFloor set instructions\u00a0<\/u><\/strong>\u2013 They have new stage this year on the East side of the main entrance.\u00a0 We will have the floor in the van but do not plan on needing it.<\/p>\nFloor set instructions are below IF we need to use them.<\/p>\n
Set the floor facing SOUTH about 12\u2033 from the stage.\u00a0 This is typically a 24\u2032 W x 16\u2032 D floor.\u00a0 The boards are 4 x 8, so this will be 12 boards total.\u00a0 Try to place boards with worn corners on the outer edges and boards that appear the least slick in the center\/front of the stage.<\/p>\n
Connect the boards with the white duct tape.\u00a0 Use ONE piece of tape for the entire seam and run the tape a few inches off the ends of the boards to attach the tape to the side walk.
