Summer Performance: Prosser States Day Parade and Stage Show

We always have a great time participating in the Prosser States Day Parade, then we go over to Prosser Memorial Park and perform our stage show as part of the States Day festivities!
Prosser Parade and Stage Show details:
Meet at 7:30 am on SW Bennett Ave by the bus barn for Keene River View Elementary School in Prosser to decorate. Take 2nd Prosser exit (Exit 80) by McDonalds and follow signs (or google it). Judging starts promptly at 8:30. We are at the intersection of SW Bennett Ave. and Brown St; the closest physical address to the location is 715 Brown St.
You all did a stellar of decorating the floats and helping undecorate at the Kennewick parade. Let’s do it again!
Judging is at 8:30. The parade starts at 10:00. We should be in the first half of the parade to have time to eat lunch and prep for the stage show.
Kids who do BOTH DANCE AND CLOG – Have both the Blue Studio t-shirt with white shorts AND white clogging shirt with denim shorts. We never know who will actually show up for this parade (HOPEFULLY EVERYONE!) so may have to adjust plans to cover the dancing and clogging.
Dancers wear blue t-shirts with white shorts (teens wear black shorts), comfortable mostly white shoes, white socks, hair in a tight bun so you are ready for the stage show that follows the parade.
Cloggers wear white clogging shirts, denim/dark shorts, white socks.
Bring water & remember sun screen. Cloggers bring comfortable walking shoes in case your clogging shoes begin to irritate you. The parade starts at 10:00. Bring/wear a jacket; warm up pants over your parade attire as it’s typically cool early in the morning.
Wear your t-shirts & shorts for the parade (just like the Benton-Franklin Fair Parade). Wear hair ready for the stage show (buns for dancers, side-parted low ponytails for cloggers). Sorry, no high ponytails for the parade as there is not enough time to change your hair for the show.
Bring all costumes, tights, undergarments for the stage show. Remember to bring enough water for both events in a spill proof container and your lipstick. Wear sunscreen and eat a good breakfast.
PROSSER STATES DAY STAGE SHOW
This is a combined dance and clogging show with all costumes. The show is at Prosser Memorial Park. We will drive from the parade to the park. We need help setting up and tearing down the canopy at the park for costume changes.
There is very little time to eat lunch & get ready after the parade, so packing your lunch is necessary. Bring your own lunch or buy it at the park for fastest service. DO NOT HAVE LUNCH AT ANY FAST FOOD PLACE OR RESTAURANT IN TOWN; THEY CANNOT GET TO YOU FAST ENOUGH AFTER THE PARADE
Our stage show starts at 1:00 pm.
